The Varsity Theatre is an ideal venue for weddings and receptions, birthday, cocktail, and graduation parties, award ceremonies and more. We are able to accommodate groups of up to 800 people depending on seating requirements. Need a smaller space? The balcony is sized to host up to 100 people on select nights.
Rates
Venue and balcony rental rates are based on time of year, day of the week, and time of day.
Quoted room rates include the following personnel, equipment and services (Use of sound & light equipment is available for an additional fee):
- House Manager
- Bar Staff
- Door Staff
- Chairs
- Tables
- Table Linens
- Janitorial Supplies & Services
- Marquee (if requested)
Book Your Event
Food
The Varsity can help fulfill your catering needs with food from the The Chimes or coordinate with an outside caterer of your choosing. If you choose an outside caterer, they must be wholly self-sufficient. We do not have any material, storage or preparation space for outside caterers. All caterers will need to contact us to coordinate access to the venue.
Beverages
We are able to customize a beverage package to suit your event style and budget.
Entertainment
Our stage is sized and equipped to accommodate both local and touring acts, DJ’s, or presenters with our professional sound and light rig and available projection screens. Entertainment and AV presentations should be discussed at time of booking.
The Balcony
If renting the entire venue is not practical for your situation, consider renting the balcony. The balcony has a full bar, men’s and women’s restroom and can be configured to accommodate catering. The balcony is available on most nights that a public event is already scheduled.
All persons attending an event on the balcony will have access to the entire venue. Some past events held on the balcony have been smaller company parties and class reunions.
